Cadet Training
Monday 18:15 – 20:15 in school term dates.
Any person interested in becoming a member of our Cadets,
please come down to the station on Cadet Nights.
Since the Seventies, Cadets have played a large role in the Williamstown CFS.
Aged from 11 to 18, training in most disciplines of a fire-fighter, and may become a fully fledged members after turning 16 year of age.
Cadets elect a Captain and Lieutenants, as do their senior counter-parts.
As Cadets, the basis of their training, teambuilding, personal development, and a dedication to their community, will follow them through into adult life.
Approximately 25% of cadets continue as senior members, and those who choose to leave, may return in later years to some form of community service.
As a cadet you will be trained by qualified and experienced volunteer firefighters in:
